Memorial Day

I would like to take a minute to thank all of our loyal service-men and -women. I know Memorial Day is a day meant to remember those fallen in the line of duty, but there are still many men and women who sacrifice everything to serve this country, including spending extended periods of time in foreign territory away from their families.

My father is one of those individuals. He is currently stationed in Afghanistan for the next several months, and I think about him every day. Please take a moment to pray for our troops and their families. They are really missed.

I took the opportunity today to be a proud daughter and countrywoman, wearing my red, white, and blue.

Return home safely, troops. We are proud of the work you do.
